TiMACROfied — Extreme Macro Photography: brush, shaver foil, plastic, paper, wood
Written by timsdd on December 30th, 2010 in Extreme Macro Photography.
Enter another pleasant surprise subject, my electric shaver foil. It turned out some really interesting shots!
I was able to use DOF and lighting it differently also afforded me some more opportunities in post (colors).
I had to think a moment about this one, at first I thought it was the cassette again but in fact, it is a prescription bottle…the edge of where the cap would screw on…hard to picture I know.
This looks like wood, I guess in large part due to the color but it’s actually envelopes, the edges of them.
This the plastic portion of a flashlight, more of a directional light actually; has a ‘bendy’ head.
This is a small spiky ball…reminds me of a hairbrush!
This is door edging, weather stripping.
This is a toy, I know that much! I’m pretty sure it’s a plastic slinky.
3 wooden tongue depressors :-)

This was a hard one to give slues to. It’s a glade air fresheners that has died up and cracked.
The pvc primer brush. This one was a disappointment. One of those times where the final product did not equal what you set out to create. I think it’s just the brush itself…it just looks a lot more interesting from a regular point of view instead of a super macro. Oh well. I thought it might be sweet like the SOS pad.
