POST! ifyulle notice the colors, most of them were added in post but you can go along ways to aid that process by adding different lights when you shoot the drops.

In this case I was only using one light source, camera left flash. But there were a few times I added a color to shoot through and that enabled me to get funky in PS.

Crops trying to come and snatch my drops!

Yet another version of water drops. This time I had to do the drops by hand, I tried a new bottle but it totally was not working! That’ll teach me for trying new things :-)

I know some of these are OOF, the 1st one for instance but I couldn’t help myself as my face is the BG!

here’s a near home run but it’s got FAIL. I wanted to show the drop creating a pocket in the water though on this and another one too.

I thought the lines in the water were wild!

^ the one on the right looks like a melting Vader helmet…..never mind what the blue one below looks like!

This is it! We have made it to the end of my 7th time trying to catch water drops.

I have learned many things having done this, and I hope you had some fun along the way.

Of curse be sure to notice the setup pictures I have included with this final set in this series…hopefully I did a good enough job labeling that you get the idea!

This is the next to last volume from the “7th time”.

I think many from this set represent very unique formations. I’m not sure why it happened like that. Maybe since the water level in my bottle was a lot lower than when I first started, maybe I was getting a different flow of drops.

7th time trying to capture water drops Volume 7

This next set of 8 (well most of them) are a new camera angle relative to the water. I think I made about 3-4 adjustments throughout the time I shot these drops. These are the closest I am to being perpendicular to the drops as they hit the water.

The only problem I encounter is getting too much reflection from the front and back edges of the dish. The good thing is, it really shows you some good height from the columns of water…pretty neat IMO
