some guy fishing! Not really sure how good the fishing is right near here but I often see people doing it!

When I went back @ night there were another 2 that were doing so as well.

2 consecutive shots showing some nice wave action :)

The blur on the water is a boat, a ghost boat by the looks of it :p

Cape Neddick “Nubble” Lighthouse & Fisheye wave series

I am not positive, but I don’t think the 1st one here is a long exposure.

Either that or there wasn’t much wave action! Burned the sky quite a bit, had another exposure that I could have used to combine the two to bring out the sky but I thought this was just a lot easier and came out just as nice as the other one would have been.

I LOVE the wave action and the way the rocks look in this one.

I think it is my favorite non-HDR long exposure of the lot. Really cool IMO, but you tell me!

These next four look like I did it on purpose but I really didn’t.

It looks like a series, the way the water and waves progress across the rocks.

Quite by accident but a nice set nevertheless.

Cape Neddick “Nubble” Lighthouse, Long wave exposures

Written by timsdd on Tuesday, September 7th, 2010 in Photography.

A rare treat, a HDR/long exposure. You’ll notice the ghosting tourists, they add an element of mystique to the photo.

The lighting was great, full on sun is usually the worst time to shoot and I lucked out here.

The sky was a little muddled but thanks to the HDR I was able to pull some details from it.

The long exposures with the waves makes the surface of the water appear fog like.

The contrast between the rocks and the water made this shot worthy of a B&W conversion.

Water lends itself nicely to B&W which is why a lot of the ones below are just that!

But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you. For you bless the righteous, O LORD; you cover him with favor as with a shield. (Psalm 5:11-12, ESV)
