Scary stairs and more sunrise pictures from the plane.

One of the things I really lament is not being able to show you the full size pictures.
The stairs here are so much more interesting when seen with the full size file. Perhaps I should consider letting people download certain files from time to time!

Anyway, this file is nothing special but I did try a few things to tweak it to make it more visually interesting….of course that detail is lost when posted online, oh well!

I thought this picture would have made an excellent stock photo but alas, it was shot @ 400ISO and they are EXTREMELY ANAL about noise with stock photos.

This one too like the first, I roughed it up a little bit, almost gives it an underwater feel to it I think.

Sunrise. Someone mentioned to me that it would have been ever better had the sun made an appearance but I saw it live, it was far and away less interesting with the sun in the frame. A sunset on the other hand…then having the sun present helps.

I loved this formation of the cloud, right where the C is, looks like a face and a flowing goatee!

More from the tram ride. One thing I discovered during this, it sure it hard to manually focus while you are moving!

The tracks have a slight element of looking miniature I think but just imagine how much more so they would appear that way if you had access to the top of the roof line that you see!

A rare plane sunrise as seen flying out of the Austin airport. Thankfully the young lady that had the window seat traded with me so that she could sit with her husband or boyfriend. I was like SURE! I’ll switch with you!

I was not so lucky on the return flight home, then again I did not even ask the guy if we could switch…unfortunate. I was even going to offer him some money if he said no! But now I will never know!!

….on the DFW airport tram!

And to think this ride was free!!

I was using my tilt shift lens, trying for the ‘mini look’…I think the ones of the roads kind of gets me there but I was limited by only being a couple hundred feet from them and not very high in the air.

Now admit it, did I fake you out based on the title? That’s ok…hate me if you must :D

Continuing our tour of the lovely Dallas airport we see an empty luggage cart, a plane taxiing and my favorite, the tram tunnel.

On the 3rd one, I can’t really remember how far away that was. It looks like several hundred feet but then again I didn’t have a chance to notice much as I was looking through the viewfinder most of the way!

Baggage Claim #4 – Airport Time-lapse Video

This while I was waiting to pick up 2.0 passengers @ the airport. This is not during a rush hour by any means but I think it has potential, I would love to return when it’s really hopping.

I’m trying to remember, I don’t think I could get a shot of the entire 6 carousels at once that they have. I think access is pretty much one end of the baggage claim or the other as there are two main staircases/escalators going down to the claim area.

What sorta surprised me is that no one gave me a 2nd look. Sure the camera is small and I’m about as innocent as they get but not one double take the entire time I was there!

I also want to look for a nice vantage point for planes taking off and landing but I am not sure if one exists…time to do some scouting!
