TiMACROfied — Extreme Macro Photography: UNKNOWN!!

Written by timsdd on Tuesday, October 18th, 2011 in Extreme Macro Photography.

[SAD] I shot these so long ago I can only vaguely recall as to what they are! [/SAD]

The trap I fell into this summer and really for most of the year is trying to be more productive in terms of monetizing my photography and short of that I didn’t want to get bogged down in the fun side of it, which is wrong! Then you just stop shooting altogether = a crime.

So like with everything underneath the sun and or moon, you need to find a good balance. Easier said than done but I am willing to try more better and harder :p

The last 2 are kind of vanilla in terms of post, I submitted them to istock and they were accepted :-)

2 lens macro, canon 50mm/1.4, textures, close-up photography, extreme macro, macro photography, reverse ring, Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro Lens, Sigma EM-140 DG TTL Macro Ringlight Flash, specialized macro

The slotted portion of a capacitor (top view). This one was a fun one with the macro guessing game b/c it looks a lot like a screw so that was naturally the first guess.

Gold Finger Foil :p

Less bokeh, more foil this time :)

A pull back on the cap, should be a lot more recognizable now ;-)

Not a new wave spider web, the dried portion of the mousse dispenser.

Got moose? Actually, lol, you know what, it’s mousse! The stuff you put in your hair :p

Forget it though, too funny to change it now.

Can you say narrow DOF?

Here is some gold foil from a food product of some sort. I forget now the exact origins.

I used it to explore some bokeh. Bokeh is like DOF’s little brother/sister. It’s something I don’t pay enough attention to especially in regards to lights. If i spent a little more time exploring it i bet I could turn out some really nifty stock images.

To you, O LORD, I call; my rock, be not deaf to me, lest, if you be silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit. Hear the voice of my pleas for mercy, when I cry to you for help, when I lift up my hands toward your most holy sanctuary. (Psalm 28:1-2, ESV)
