I guess moth bum is better than no bum @ all! It was hard sneaking up on this guy that was for sure. Pretty small too, size of a quarter maybe. Basically half the size of a full blown monarch butterfly I would estimate.

Also hard to nab, the sprinter of bugs, the Lady Bug. Must have covered 2 miles in the time it took for me to take these few shots….2 miles equivalent in bug travel ;-)

This was an unusually muggy day so it’s no wonder I found lots of critters. At least these (maybe aside from the fly) are not nearly as scary as the spider I shot last time!

This guy is a trip, he looks like he’s poised to answer a question in this angle.
He has his arms out like that ready to snap down on prey, pretty wild; nature’s bear trap!
