In all my years living in Springfield (VT), I don’t think I had ever been inside the Eureka Schoolhouse!

Pretty on the outside and pretty interesting on the inside. I can’t imagine spending an entire school day in one single room though but it’s still a lot better than what many have available to them today I suppose.

Check out the stars on that flag!

More Black River pictures. I would have liked to explore the river further but as is often the case time was a factor.

As you can see from the swaying flowers, it was windy! It made several of my shots too blurry as my Dad’s tri-pod is not very sturdy when it is fully extended.

Don’t think of it as river scum, think of it as swirling river foam :)

While this one is actually just the moving water…no foam involved ;-)

I thought for sure the North Springfield Dam would have been constructed after the great flood of 1927 but my Dad said not until the 60′s!
I think it would have been amazing to see it as high as the emergency overflow though I cannot recall a time when it was ever that high.

It was kind of weird taking these right before vacation…not the sort of thing you want to wait around for a long time to post!!
Despite a massive pooch on my part (getting lost), I thoroughly enjoyed my 3rd year being able to take pictures @ the Dallas Cowboys 2010 Training Camp
Last year I was afforded a most generous offer of an extra VIP pass to be able to shoot from field view. This year was not AS fortunate BUT you’re also getting less view obstructions by the coaches and players. How dare they block my view!!! Now I know why all the AP photographers shoot from the other side of the field!!
I did have a lady in front of me that had “big hair”, that proved difficult from time to time since she was also sitting @ 110% in terms of posture; SIT!
Just a quick glimpse of what is to come!

Only took a few shots with the FishEye 8mm lens, but they sure covered the field now didn’t they.

The media….they are ready :)

VACATION 2010! VT & ME
Prior to leaving Austin we had some showers blow through the airport and on the way out on our way to Dallas there was some residual moisture in the air as evidenced by this rainbow. The rainbow was actually larger and more vivid but it took me a minute or so to bust out my camera! Note to self: be sure to have the camera in my lap when I have a window seat!!

Black River pictures. This time around I wanted to hit the falls from the other side of the river, not just from the path on Clinton St. Of course I took the HARD way to get there, clinging to the side of the steep bank. Thankfully I did not slip or tear myself up too bad. On the way out I found a much easier path and a road that would have taken me there! Ahhh the ‘ol hindsight.
