Thankfully the lighthouse and buildings had LED string lights on them otherwise it would have been a boring and short night!
When we were there 2 years ago the moon was full and it was awesome!
Moonlight is KEY for shooting at night, at least it makes it a lot easier in certain applications.
No moon for this trip, not even a sliver of light :/

Fun with RAW! This is the same image but +2 exposure with the RAW editor.
MORE noisy than I would have liked/thought so I also applied a little noise reduction.
Amazing what you can do with RAW files though!
..
Wow, I really wish I would have tried more of these I love how it came out {image on the right}.
This was the only one I shot though.
Probably didn’t take the time to do more since the regular exposure took forever at times.
..
Told you it was dark! No moon = no fun!

More RAW pushing, also +2.

I love this one for several reasons, the colors and the bend of the 8mmFE!
Thanks again Andy for letting me borrow it!

This first one of the last 3 here is the only true HDR’s. The other two are a combination of two exposures; namely the lights from the light house.
I would have liked to have done some HDR work with them but there simply was not enough light!

Cape Neddick (“Nubble”) Light is always one of my favorite places to visit when we are in Maine.
Hopefully these pictures will show you why!
I really got to bust out the HDR one a few of these pictures.
One of them (which will be very obvious) is a conservative HDR edit while the other take on a little more dramatic look.
The first 3 are actually the same photo just edited differently.
I try not to do that very often but in this case I thought the results were more than justified to try different approaches.
Enjoy!
