Macro Paint Sculptures – A Study

I need, I say I need go find that video that gave me the inspiration to try this. One, to give them some love for the idea but two, to see if I can improve on mine some more. They were actually using ink, not paint. What i found is that some thinner paint made all the difference as you will see in subsequent posts. I had some orange paint that really lit it up, it just happened to be thinner than the other colors.

And yes, red + blue = purple! But boy, the dark blue and the even darker purple proved most difficult to light! I think I need full power flash if I ever try the straight blue and or purple next time. As these are, both the main ring flash on camera and the slave camera left were @ 1/2 power manual modes. I also had a 3rd flash camera right but I am not sure what impact it had to tell you the truth!

I guess I should try adding them one at a time to see the various elements when lit!

To you, O LORD, I call; my rock, be not deaf to me, lest, if you be silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit. Hear the voice of my pleas for mercy, when I cry to you for help, when I lift up my hands toward your most holy sanctuary. (Psalm 28:1-2, ESV)
