Breaking Light bulbs….shattering glass!

Written by admin on Wednesday, July 20th, 2011 in Sound Trigger.

Learning curve, I has one!

It seems like every time I attempt these type of shots (much like when shooting water drops) there is a big learning curve I must overcome.

These are no exception although in my defense, this time around is due in large part to a new bb gun I am using. I needed something with more power and oh buddy, this has it! Too much in fact, the bb’s tend to rip right through the bulbs without much fanfare in the way of shattering. Maybe one of these times I’ll get it right!

One thing I am VERY happy about though with this batch, the lighting. Specifically that there isn’t much if any light falloff onto the background thus inducing NOISE! Hate the noise…istock hates it even more! If they find one pixel they don’t like they boot the whole image! (But I digress).

The last 5 of the set. I hope you enjoyed looking at them as much as i did taking them!

I think last night might have offered an equally as stunning setting but I played it safe with my ankle, trying to rest it for tonight (racquetball).

Warp 3.14, engage! Yes, I am one of those, the Star Trek “enthusiast” ;-)

Clouds, looking good. What you can’t see is the front behind me. I did not get but a few drops on me which was good but we desperately need the rain! Oh well :-)
