Opps, had one more shot from the Townshend Dam Recreation Area. Or maybe I posted it already! No matter, it’s very cool so have a double take :-)

This is a pond on the way to Townshend Dam Recreation Area, I forget which road but it’s quite easy to spot from the road, visible. I do think I had to turn around and go back to it though b/c once you see it unless you stand on the brakes you’re not going to be able to hit the turn off :D

The sky wasn’t great but the water was perfect!

The last of the bugs, these bugs anyway. I hope to get some more soon before I cut a bunch of tall grass/poison weeds/who knows what else behind our back fence.

Which brings an interesting point….we have this section of land behind our back fence, a drainage ditch….if I cut it and get it cleared….maybe I could use it for photos. Like stuff I wouldn’t want to do inside necessarily, like break stuff! But that is another topic altogether – back to the bugs!

I think this is an aphid. Boy! They are tiny!! I truly could not see if I had him in focus or not, just had to guess.

I guess moth bum is better than no bum @ all! It was hard sneaking up on this guy that was for sure. Pretty small too, size of a quarter maybe. Basically half the size of a full blown monarch butterfly I would estimate.

MOTH!

Also hard to nab, the sprinter of bugs, the Lady Bug. Must have covered 2 miles in the time it took for me to take these few shots….2 miles equivalent in bug travel ;-)
