This first shot is money, I don’t mind telling you. It’s one of my favorites from the 30 I took that afternoon. And by 30 I mean the number I processed, the actual number of frames is more like 288 I wager.

And the Christmas lights, you’ll be seeing those pretty soon.

Lots of gorgeous brick all over campus. I was loving it.
This shot took me a while to frame the way I wanted it. Trying to incorporate the building and get a nice flow of the arches ‘going on forever’.

Even the wooden framed trash can looks sweet! Honestly I didn’t even notice it until now.

You may not like science but you’ve got to love the science building! This is the corner stone of the Carol of Lights, the Cmas lights really flow from this building, highlighted by that massive wreath. Impressive to see the cmas lights and decorations…not telling the man hours they dedicate to that every year.

This was a common scene all over campus, a cluster of bikes ‘left behind’. I should have incorporated them into a few more shots; next time!

I said I wanted the WIDE angle! Special thanks to my friend Andy for the Fish-eye loaner. @ 8mm or 12.8 effective it’s invaluable for close up shots like this doorway. I have a Sigma 12-24mm, which is great but with the crop factor it’s not quite as cool.

Scenic Vermont Pictures – A foggy Quechee Gorge & various

I love how that one tree juts out like that towards the end of the gorge.
I wonder if hawks and the like ever land there to get a vantage of any critters that might be rummaging around the leftover from somone’s picnic lunch or whatnot.

This was the same field as the countryside home
. The fog was just nuts that day. Being on a mountain is very cool under such a heavy fog as well, makes for some difficult but interesting pictures. Of course your visibility is maybe on 1/4 of a mile!

I think this is the Bartonsville covered birdge. The really funny thing is that not until I was editing this picture did I notice the person in the very bottom right corner. I must have looked @ the photo(though quickly) a dozen times and never seen him!

The river right below the Taftville covered bride in Quechee (again…I think).

This is a decorative glass globe used in gardens. Does it have a use or is it there just to look cool? I do not know!

If you look close you can see the blue glass globe in the reflection of the drop

I took some “artistic license” on this one with the processing.

First Baptist Church Pflugerville – Aerial Photography

This rounds out the 2nd time we went up in the plane to take pictures of the church.
If you recall, the church is lit perfectly in this set but it’s too dark! Too late in the day.

Now that we “have” the building though we should be able to coordinate a trip whereby ALL the pertinent lights will be on and hit the time of day just right.

First two pics are from the ground, man the building is big, I had to stand across the street to fit it all in!

Some sort of foil from some kind of food product!
I don’t even remember where it came from. Maybe if I go lick the underside of it…Friskies with salmon! Oh no wait, we don’t have pets.

This was one of those objects that really caught my eye and it seemed like no matter how I focused it, it looked cool. I think a lot of it has to do with the color, it’s very pretty :D
