I’ve seen fire and I’ve seen rain – Clouds & Sunset Time-Lape Video

I’ve seen fire and I’ve seen rain…only one of which are in the video! Oh well, poor planning on my part I guess. I bet I could have added the fire in post .

This is another noon to sunset timelapse video. I somehow managed to get better metering (on the camera) this time with the clouds. You can see a lot more definition in them than last time.

I got lucky again in that the clouds are really moving and there are different types that roll through during those ~ 9 hours. There were 2 downpours mixed in there also.

Drivin’ Home – Driving Time-Lapse Video

This is our decent home from vacation a couple of weeks ago.

For most driving videos, especially for ones over 2 hours, I use the one frame ever 2 seconds setting for the time-lapse. I think the 1 frame every second would also work but then the video would be twice as long and I’d just have to compress the time to make it <= 4mins. I think anything longer than 4 mins is usually a bit of a snooze.

For this video it was 21% rural country road and then interstate the remaining way home…oh and a quick stop @ Wendy’s drive-thru for some munchables! Actual drive time was like 95 mins I think.

Playin’ in the Pool – Swimming Pool Time-Lapse Video

This was a very cool swimming pool that we got to go to nearly every morning on vacation. It’s a neat setting surrounded by trees and a great view of the lake. Ok, actually I’m not even sure you could see the lake from standing in the pool but you certainly could from outside the pool.

It had a really neat kids area, the center section was what used to be a fountain. I think the fountain broke and they never bothered to fix it as some of the jets are covered up in fact. Too bad to, it would have made the pool that much cooler.

It had a decent shallow end too, 3′ I think. I hate the pool that are like 5′ and 5′ only…what is the point in that!! It’s a family resort not a place where Olympians come to train!

We were only there for an hour a day hence this being ~ 2mins long, but we had lots of fun and great weather as you can see.
