Cool story about the gym the day I was there.

It had begun to rain right about the time I was in the gym taking pictures. And when I say rain, I mean a full blown downpour. The rain sounded INCREDIBLE on the roof, like a thousand horses galloping across the plains. There was ample thunder too, pretty wild.

My Dad has a metal roof on his porch and while that sounds pretty cool when it rains, it was nothing compared to this!

Needless to say the sounds added to the experience :-)

Still looks pretty sweet but just imagine what it would have been like fresh out of the box! Brand new.

I bet it was awe inspiring to the students at the very least. I do not remember much about it other than maybe it being a little intimidating.

I’m sure as a kid I had rope fail….not very strong as a youngster. I’m sure I could do it now though! Then again, would the ropes hold me? :-O

Where is the coin game table!?

So sad that this playground will no longer be utilized. Too bad it can’t be disassebled and reassembled at another school.

Who knows maybe it can but look how much stuff there is to climb on over there!

Ok, it’s a little hard to see but trust me, it’s very cool.

That’s right, this was the last year that students will be attending Park Street School ending a 115 year run!
I was actually looking for a detailed history of the school but could not find one online.
If anyone knows of such an item please let me know!

I had the privileged of being able to take some shots when we were in Springfield in August.
It was AWESOME! But don’t take my word for it!

Of course to me, it doesn’t get any better than the auditorium:

How cool is that right? The gym was a close second but it was still a really nice opportunity to be able to walk through the school and see some of the sights I had not seen in over 2 decades!
