The title is somewhat misleading, but “best of” sounds better than “my most favorite ones” :p

Hands across the water, water, hands across the sky.

(almost) perfect timing; while I did not get any glow from the sun setting, at least the sky maintains some great blues before fading to black.

The lights outlining the buildings saved me like I said, since there was no moon.

It takes just the right picture to pull off these ‘grunge’ HDR’s. I’m still not quite sure what makes or breaks them but only 1/20 images fit perfectly, I’m sure glad it was these of Nubble!!

Handheld walking blur, sweeet.

Not even sure if i composed this shot, just pointed the camera skyward as low as the tri-pod would go!

Ha! I should have taken a close up of the blackboard to see what was written.

1895! So says the front of Park Street school in good ol Springfield VT.

It must have been a gem back in the day, still is, but I cannot evenΒ imagineΒ what would have rivaled it in 1895!

Many a heated 4-square game took place on these grounds. Epic battles!

I was RATHER disappointed that the Simpsons movie DVD did not contain the whole movie promotion storyline.

A bit of a slap in the face if you ask me.

This was one of those where the sky was impossible to work with, but I really love how the church turned out :)

I should know better than to have my camera tucked away in my backpack when we fly over cities, I was lucky to get a few shots off of Cowboys Stadium (The house of shame).

Cowboys Stadium (The house of shame)….pretty catchy right? I should Β© it!!

Springfield VT pictures – around town II

I should post a thumbnail of all the pics in anyΒ givenΒ post so that you can see the differences between the HDR’s and the normal exposures. Only problem is, I don’t know if Bridge lets you do that!

I think it would have been epic to have been able to explore some of these old buildings but I do not know if that would have even been possible. I have a feeling that some aren’t fit to explore! A shame really.

One of the challenging aspects of dealing with HDR’s is the clouds.

They tend to move over the course of bracketing your exposures! So of they look a little funky in some of the shots, that is why. In fact in one of the shots (previous post) , it was TOO distracting and I just used the best single exposure for the sky and the rest of the shot was the HDR.
