So as I was standing near the high rise downtown…taking pictures of the church (obviously) this older woman in a older model SUV wanted to make sure I was taking pictures of the church and not “casing”? the retirement home. Is that a big problem? People trespassing on the grounds of the high rise? I guess I could see crazy family members doing weird things but she had some kind of audacity to assume my motives were something other than pure :-)

I love how the light drapes across the frame in the 2nd one…unintended bonus!

I’ve always wished there was a better view of the falls but short of taking a canoe up to it, I don’t think there is!

A couple of these shots got severely distorted as I was trying to encompass the entire falls into the frame with the fish-eye. I gave them a mild PS tweak to remove some of the elements that got shifted. But the one below and then the 3rd one, I had to rotate them about 30 degrees I think!

The United Methodist Church – Springfield VT

Not knowing if I was ever going to make it back to Springfield for an extended time, I wanted to cover some of the great buildings in town and to me, a large part of that are the churches.

It’s one of those things you don’t give a lot of thought to growing up but some of the churches are REALLY interesting. I would have liked to have been able to go inside all of them as well, but time/circumstances did not allow.

Fish-eye! This is the perfect time of day to shoot, I mean check out that sky! WICKED!!

Though, I had to return to the church later that night as the lights did not come on until 9pm, same thing with the Miller Arts Center :-)

TSE! Pretty interesting look right. Though it is very hard to see what you have dialed in in terms of focus @ night.

Pretty close to what I envisioned.

Downtown Springvegas! This was a wild one, getting elements of both the red & green lights. Sweet.

Park Street School Pictures & The Miller Art Center

Written by timsdd on Thursday, October 7th, 2010 in Vermont Pictures.

Where are we?! Park Street School Pictures, last ones, of the inside anyway.

Immediately to the left is the auditorium and just beyond that right before the stairs is the gym.

Sweet! Pretty cool view for sure. I actually had to make 2 trips to the Miller Art Center that night as the lights did not come on until 9! Same with the church down below too. Park Street School Pictures

Yes, I removed the power line going to the house :D

TSE! Sadly these were about the only shot I took with this lens on the trip!

Actually I take that back, did use it some on the church(es) too.

But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you. For you bless the righteous, O LORD; you cover him with favor as with a shield. (Psalm 5:11-12, ESV)
