Had to play with the BOKEH from the Christmas lights from The Carol of Lights. It would have been derelict for me to ignore it.

I had a limited window to take pics that night as it was out last night in town. I could have spent another 2 hours easily. One thing I would do next time is duplicate some of the same shots but using my Canon 50/1.4. You want to talk about bokeh, son, that lens has got bokeh cubed!

Actually that is only a partial truth in that, if I can, I’d like to go back and match up all the winners to the pictures. The only problem is that some of them are not blatantly obvious going just by the description. I might need to get help from Chef Mike on that!

All TSE shots here, some of these show just how narrow the DOF can be while using it. This is where it hard to maintain a line of focus without a tripod. Decent results but not stellar. I think I’ll breakdown next time and lug my big ol tri-pod along with me :-)

Root beer float! Tasted ‘just’ like one too! Not a big hit with my daughter, I should have known!

Still pretty clever though.

This one WAS a favorite of my tasting squad (myself, wife, and daughter). Peanuts & chocolate, always a winning combo!

I didn’t realize how thin the silver stars were, they look like regular confetti. They must be edible though?
