Cape Neddick “Nubble” Light HDR Photos III
Written by timsdd on August 26th, 2010 in Photography.
Thankfully the lighthouse and buildings had LED string lights on them otherwise it would have been a boring and short night!
When we were there 2 years ago the moon was full and it was awesome!
Moonlight is KEY for shooting at night, at least it makes it a lot easier in certain applications.
No moon for this trip, not even a sliver of light :/

Fun with RAW! This is the same image but +2 exposure with the RAW editor.
MORE noisy than I would have liked/thought so I also applied a little noise reduction.
Amazing what you can do with RAW files though!
Wow, I really wish I would have tried more of these I love how it came out {image on the right}.
This was the only one I shot though.
Probably didn’t take the time to do more since the regular exposure took forever at times.
Told you it was dark! No moon = no fun!
More RAW pushing, also +2.

Very nice pictures Timothy. They have a lovely dreamy quality.
Are these the 8mm FE on the 1000D?
With the crop factor that turns the lens into an equivalent 12.8mm doesn’t it?
Oh, to have a 5D.

TY sir!
Good guess. They are with the 24-105/4/L, I guess it’s the 1000D! Rebel Xs I think (I always forget!!)
the 8 with the crop is 12.8 yes. I’ve heard that with a full frame cam, you have to shave some of the plastic off the hood! That would be a nice problem to have IMO
you said it on the 5D. I was going to hunker down and try to snag the 5DM2 but ironically I bet the 5DM3 will be out by the time I have the funds for the 2 :p
